Abstract
    Zeeland Seaports is in 1999 een traject begonnen om te komen tot een realisatie van een containeroverslagterminal (WCT) voor de zee- en binnenvaart in het havengebied Vlissingen-Oost. Om de WCT te kunnen realiseren op de beoogde locatie is materiaal nodig voor landaanwinning en op dit moment is zand het enige geschikte materiaal. Zeeland Seaports is voornemens het benodigde zand te winnen in de Noordzee. Met deze startnotitie maakt Zeeland Seaports de voorgenomen zandwinning bekend. De startnotitie bevat informatie over de voorgenomen activiteit en het op te stellen MER.
