The Delft Hydraulics laboratory has developed computer programme and computational methods for estimating the interactions between sedimentation rates, sediment transport, and dredging volumes. Three examples of sedimentation studies are briefly reported: Chittagong Part, Um Qasv and the Western Scheldt Tunnel.
