The Hortobágy astatic saline waters of 63 rotifers, 31 cladocerans, nine copepod taxa were detected, of which 1975 to 1976 in 52 rotifers, 25 cladocerans and 8 copepod taxa, while between 1995-2009 38 rotifers, 21 cladocerans and 8 copepod taxa were found. The decrease in the number of species and new taxa are indicated by a change in environmental conditions, it would be necessary to start monitoring tests.
