Description
Predatory fish were sampled along the salinity gradient of the Westerschelde and their stomach contents were compared in a quantitative and a qualitative manner. The density and biomass of macrobenthos, being the prey of these fish, was recorded. Scope Themes: Biology, Biology > Fish, Coastal studies (e.g. shores, estuaries) Keywords: Marine/Coastal, Fresh water, Brackish water, Feeding, Fish, Salinity gradients, Salt marshes, ANE, Belgium, Zwin, ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Schor van Waarde, ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Verdronken Land van Saeftinge, ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Zuidgors, ANE, Scheldt Estuary, Belgium, Schelde R., Dicentrarchus labrax (Linnaeus, 1758), Platichthys flesus (Linnaeus, 1758) Geographical coverage ANE, Belgium, Zwin [Marine Regions] ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Schor van Waarde [Marine Regions] ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Verdronken Land van Saeftinge [Marine Regions] ANE, Netherlands, Westerschelde, Zuidgors [Marine Regions] ANE, Scheldt Estuary [Marine Regions] Temporal coverage
