Dinophysis spp. winter
Description Gridded abundance map representing Dinophysis species along the French coast. Several species of this genus produce toxins and can cause gastrointestinal illness and Diarrhetic Shellfish Poisoning (DSP), even at low cell densities (Descriptor 5 Eutrophication). This product was developed with DIVA (Data-Interpolating Variational Analysis) and the scale is log-transformed abundance (in cells per liter). Data was provided by IFREMER (REPHY).
